Festival of Friends!

PRESENTS > IT CAME FROM THE 80's / VOL 1
EVENT TICKETS

Festival of Friends Events / Tacoma, WA

How It Works
Festival of Friends Events are made up of -
  • Pre-organized cover song performance collectives showcasing material by iconic bands and artists performed by a rotating roster of musicians over the course of the evening.
  • Guitarists, bassists, drummers, keyboardists and vocalists who've registered in advance for the songs they want to perform on their primary instrument(s). Available instrumentation for each song performance including background vocalists is always material (in general studio tracks) dependent.  Background vocalists are always welcome and encouraged to participate so don't let a lead vocalist slot being filled deter you from signing up.
  • During open registration participants choose a minimum of 1 song and a maximum of 4 songs (based on their primary instrument and level of playing/performing interest).  If there are additional songs available that you're interested in playing on (beyond your initial selections) we'll notify you about remaining options (at no extra cost) after open registration has closed.
  • Participating musicians must have the ability to accurately learn material (based on specified studio recordings unless otherwise specified) on their own and readily-apply it in a live event setting.  There are no auditions or formalized rehearsals prior to the event so coming prepared is mandatory.

It Came From The 80's / Vol. 1

It Came From The 80's showcases an eclectic array of bands and artists from, you guessed it, the 1980's! This exclusive Tacoma event is a wide array of classic 80's punk and rock-influenced pop with a splash of new wave and rockabilly thrown in for good measure.

This 18-song show will feature music from the following bands and artists: INXS, Queen, The Stray Cats, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Billy Idol, The Vapors, Scandal-Patty Smyth, Def Leppard, Alannah Myles, Bryan Adams, Eddie Money, The Go-Go's, Survivor, The Bangels, The Cars, Heart, Bon Jovi and Jane's Addiction.
