Band Together.
|
Festival of Friends's Events mission is to foster the development and growth of community between adult recreational musicians who are passionate about making music without the constraints, pressures or judgment of the professional music scene.
Our approach directly focused on the practiced recreational musician who wants to challenge themselves in new ways and apply their existing skill set in a band-centered environment with other like-minded players. Who You Are.
You're a past or present-day recreational musician who wants to challenge yourself with new playing and performance experiences. Maybe you used to be in a band but gave it up for "adulthood" or you once played an instrument and are hungry to pick it back up again and connect with other like-minded players. See what our community has to say!
Why Get Involved.
All of our community programming provides a simple way to connect with like-minded musicians, play in a killer band, perform live and make some new friends along the way, all minus the legwork of bringing it together.

COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING FORMATS
SONGMIXERS SERIES |
BANDMIXERS DISCOGRAPHY SERIES |
BANDMIXERS ROULETTE SERIES |
SONGMAKERS SERIES (ORIGINALS) |
Songmixers performance event series brings together a rotating roster of pre-registered community musicians to perform 20–24 song sets of classic material built around a curated theme, creating a unique live cover-band experience where the music comes together without rehearsals. |
Bandmixers Discography performance event series celebrates great songs and iconic bands and artists, bringing community musicians together around curated performance material, with each series band rehearsing and performing an eight-song set spanning an eclectic mix of music. |
Bandmixers Roulette performance event series celebrates great music and the element of surprise, randomly matching musicians into four bands, with band members, genres, and song selections revealed at the meet & greet—then they rehearse, take the stage, and bring the songs to life. |
Songmakers Series brings community musicians together to form a short-term band and collaboratively create an original song, with five guided sessions to develop the music, find the band's sound, rehearse, and record it in a professional studio—culminating in a finished single. |
