Festival of Friends Events mission is to foster the development and growth of community between adult recreational musicians who are passionate about making music without the constraints, pressures or judgment of the professional music scene. 

Festival of Friends Events shifts the playing experience from the living room to the stage and believes the best music is music made together. 
Introducing 'Bandmixers Roulette'
At FoF we love to innovate and try new things and Bandmixers Roulette is an all-new community offering introduced earlier this year. Bandmixers Roulette programming is a hybrid format of our signature Songmixers and Bandmixers series combined with a game of musical chance.

Bandmixers Roulette Overview

​Cha​nce musical encounters for adventurous-minded musicians. ​

Enter The Pool.

Bandmixers Roulette format is simple: community musicians, a mix of instrumentalists and vocalists sign up, in advance, for a "Bandmixers Roulette" musician pool (there's no fee to enter the pool) with 20 to 25 of you matched-up to participate in a game of musical chance by randomly participating in one of 4 Bandmixers Roulette bands at an upcoming, pre-scheduled event. Each Roulette band will have a genre-theme assigned and song selections are made collectively by the bands.

 Once groups are solidified, band mates are united and band genre-themes are announced at a Roulette Reveal happy hour. Roulette band members will also participate in online video chats to select the band's songs and determine the band's set order; collaborating to choose 6 classic songs from a pre-selected mix of iconic singles that align with the band's assigned genre-theme. Each Bandmixers Roulette band is provided (2) 2-hour, rehearsal sessions leading up to the live event.

Band Together.

Bandmixers Roulette programming will bring together many facets of our musician community that on the surface, might seem incompatible, or those musicians whose interests might conflict. However, the challenge for these musicians is to go beyond any musical differences and band together to create a unified group that represents the overall style and personality of the collective band members while honoring the band's assigned genre-theme.

PLEASE NOTE: Entering a Festival of Friends Bandmixers Roulette musician pool does NOT guarantee your selection to an upcoming Roulette event. There are a limited number of spots available for any round of Roulette. 

We do our best to provide individuals who were not selected for a recent round of Roulette another opportunity to participate in a follow up round if interested. You can enter a pool regardless if you were involved in an earlier round of Roulette or not.  

If you receive a notification to participate in a scheduled event, an individual registration fee will apply ($275) and includes:

  • Roulette Band Reveal - Online Meet N Greet (one per band)​
  • Roulette "All Bands" Happy Hour Social (optional but fun!) 
  • Band organization and facilitation
  • Committed, dedicated band members
  • Two, 2-hour rehearsal sessions (two per band)
  • 6 to 7-song live performance set per band
  • Pre-booked venue and event promotion
  • Awesome live show for friends, family and community!

Important Pool Eligibility & Series Information

To be eligible for the MARCH 7, 2026 Bandmixers Roulette event and subsequent Roulette pool entry below, you MUST initially be available on the following dates/timelines:

Note: If you're selected this round, your seletion notification will be emailed to you on Wednesday, 11/5/25.
  • ​Roulette Bands Reveal - Online/Zoom Meet N Greets: ​Monday, 11/24 or Tuesday, 11/25 (6:30pm-7:15pm or 7:30pm-8:15pm) - Individual bands date/time slots TBA.
  • Roulette "All Bands" Happy Hour Social (optional but fun!) / Date-Time-Location TBA
  • Roulette Band Rehearsals: ​PLEASE HOLD THE WEEKS OF FEB 16th and FEB 23rd for rehearsal date assignments during those two weeks leading up to the event (FoF Ballard Studio Space).
    • Your band's rehearsal date assignments for the two weeks above will be announced on November 19, 2025. Rehearsals will be held 7pm to 9pm, on either Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays for your band.
