Celebrating Recreational Musicianship
Festival of Friends Events curates and hosts live performance series and events in select cities across the U.S. for adult recreational musicians.
Whether you’re looking for performance experiences in your hometown or have plans to travel to a new city, Festival of Friends Events offers a simple way for skilled, everyday players and performers to plug into local, recreational musician communities while offering music fans access to unique, live entertainment. We bring exciting innovation to recreational musicianship through uniquely curated band programming and live music events. Programming formats include our signature, short-term Songmixers Series and our longer-form Bandmixers Series.
Our approach to programming is directly focused on the adult recreational musician who wants to challenge themselves in new ways and apply their existing skill set in a band-centered environment with other like-minded players. |
Making Music / Banding TogetherFestival of Friends Event's mission is to foster the development and growth of community between adult recreational musicians who are passionate about playing and performing without the constraints, pressures or judgment of the professional music scene.

Our curated music events are less about performer vs audience and more about everyone in the room having a shared musical experience and the result is a group party that's always entertaining.
And while we do take what we do seriously, at the core our community programming is about having a ruinous amount of fun for everyone involved and building connections between new music-making friends that begins to foster a recreational musician community in your hometown. So whether a community event's happening in your hometown or you're visiting somewhere new: find an event, sign-up, and join a roster of band mates and local community, where you'll experience a shift in not only how you make music but who you make music with.
