Retreat Format & Sample Schedule
As a retreat band member your individual booking is confirmed far enough in advance (minimum of 6 weeks prior to retreat start date) in order to provide you with adequate time to learn the selected material and your respective playing parts. Your time playing together will be spent "rehearsing" your songs (not learning them per say), honing your sound and ultimately performance-readying your set.
The ahead of time learning format allows us to provide retreaters, beyond the opportunity to immediately begin rehearsing together, with valuable time and space for personal relaxation and rejuvenation. It's not all music, all the time... some days we'll offer pre-arranged outings and adventures, unique to the location, and other days will be more loose; an appealing mix of structured and unstructured retreat time.
Each band works with a skilled musical facilitator who helps guide the band toward show-readiness. Each band is comprised of 4 to 6 members (including a dedicated lead vocalist). The musicians have signed up based on a mutual interest in a particular retreat's musical flavor, location appeal and time of year.

Retreat Member Obligations:
As a retreat musician, you'll bring your musical passion, drive, and determination to rehearsals and you're committed to learning the selected material, prior to your arrival. We provide approximately 10 hours of group rehearsal time during your stay, yet it's imperative that we use this time for rehearsing versus learning the material. The more prepared you are in advance the more efficient the rehearsals will be. You are accountable to, and an integral part of, the group's overall success and experience. For the sake of your band mates, please take your prep time seriously.
As a guest of a retreat musician, you're expected to honor the rehearsal commitment and musical objectives the musicians have signed on for as part of the retreat's theme. We welcome guests and while a retreat certainly includes time and space for individual activities, exploration and adventure, it also requires a commitment, on everyone's part, to the end-goal of the band's live show. You want them to sound good, right?!

Coming in 2025!
As we enter the planning phase for our future retreat offerings, we thought we'd give you a sneak-peek into what we're planning:
Standard (Plug-N-Play) Packages: Our Plug-N-Play series are part of our standard retreat package and include confirmed dates, location, musical theme, rehearsal space, music venue and lodging arrangements. Whether you're joining this adventure on your own or with a full band in tow, our Plug-N-Play retreat series make it simple to band together on the road.
|
Custom-Built Packages: Our Custom Built travel-performance packages offer recreational musicians the unique opportunity to hand pick their retreat group members. These self-organizing groups are tasked with selecting their retreat band members as well as determining the retreat's musical theme. Bring you and your band mates... we do the rest.
