METALLICA / BLACK ALBUM (1991)
Metallica is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1981 by drummer Lars Ulrich and guitarist/vocalist James Hetfield. One of the most influential and successful metal bands in history, Metallica is known for pioneering thrash metal, a subgenre characterized by fast tempos, aggressive guitar riffs, and complex song structures. Their early albums, such as Kill 'Em All (1983), Ride the Lightning (1984), and Master of Puppets (1986), solidified their reputation as one of the genre’s key innovators. With the tragic death of bassist Cliff Burton in 1986, the band recruited Jason Newsted and continued to release successful albums like ...And Justice for All (1988) and Metallica (1991), also known as the "Black Album," which became a massive commercial success with hits like "Enter Sandman." Metallica remained a dominant force in the rock world. Metallica has sold over 125 million albums worldwide and is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most enduring bands in rock history.
